Alpine recreation forecast for the South Coast Mountains issued by Environment Canada at 2 PM PST Friday 20 November 2009.
The next mountain forecast will be issued at 5 AM Saturday.

Synopsis.. Scattered flurries and a cooler airmass will persist over the area in the wake of last night's frontal system. A weaker system will approach the coast on Saturday producing modest amounts of snow Saturday night.

Whistler - Blackcomb.
Tonight..Scattered flurries.
Alpine low minus 8.
Snowfall accumulation 3 to 5 cm.
Freezing level lowering to valley bottom.
Mountaintop winds southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h.
Saturday..Isolated flurries turning to snow late in the day.
Alpine high minus 6.
Snowfall accumulation 5 to 10 cm.
Freezing level near valley bottom.
Mountaintop winds southerly 30 to 40 km/h.

5 day trend..A front will cross the coast on Monday bringing modest amounts of snow. A second front on Tuesday will bring warmer air to the region and rising freezing levels.

Sunday.. Mainly cloudy with a chance of morning flurries.
Snowfall accumulation 5 cm or less.
Freezing level near valley bottom.
Monday.. Snow developing during the day.
Snowfall accumulations 10 to 15 cm.
Freezing level near valley bottom.
Tuesday.. Light snow developing.
Freezing level rising to 1500 metres.
